2006 Water Management Conference

Broken Hill Entertainment Centre, Broken Hill
16-18 August 2006

The Local Government and Shires Associations of NSW Water Management Conference is an annual event providing councils with a broad range of information on water management and issues primarily associated with water utilities.

The 2006 Water Management Conference was held in Broken Hill on 16-18 August 2006, and co-hosted by Broken Hill City Council and Country Water.

In a challenging environment marked by competing demands for this precious resource, water management remains a high priority issue for the community. Water is a key local government concern, whether a council is one of the 104 local water utilities across the state providing essential water supply and sewerage services to regional NSW, or a council dealing with issues such as reuse and stormwater management.

The LGSA Water Management Conference presents an opportunity for councillors, council staff, water managers, government representatives and the broader industry to tackle the key issues and discuss ways forward to achieve a sustainable future.
