Careers Expo 2010

The Associations' Annual Conferences have recognised the need to promote local government as an employer of choice. One way to raise the profile of a career in local government is through active promotion at the National Careers and Employment Expo.  

The Expo will be held on 30 April - 1 May, 2010 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour.

For the 2010 Expo, the Associations is sponsoring a "Local Government Village", giving councils and ROCs the option of clustering stands and sharing in a larger industry presence. 

The EOC Management Group, the key organiser of the Expo, will be contacting councils in order to gauge interest in participating in the 2010 Expo, and in particular, the "Local Government Village". The Associations encourage councils to consider joining in this initiative to promote careers and employment in local government.
