National Careers and Employment Expo 2011

The Associations' Annual Conferences have recognised the need to promote local government as an employer of choice. One way to raise the profile of a career in local government is through active promotion at the National Careers and Employment Expo.  

The Expo will be held on 6 May - 7 May 2011 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour.

EOC Management Group, the key organiser of the Expo, is giving councils and ROCs the option of clustering stands and sharing in a larger industry presence through the creation of a "Local Government Village green".

A 3m x 2m stand within the Expo will cost $2,995 or $3,495 with furniture provided. 

The Associations encourage councils to consider joining in this initiative to promote careers and employment in local government.

EOC Management Group has also launched a VET-focused event Skillex to be held in Homebush in August 2011.
