![]() | I invite you all to attend the 2010 Local Government Association Conference in Albury. The annual Local Government Association Conference is the most important event on our calendar because it helps us set policies for the coming year, based on your valuable input. It gives us an opportunity to identify issues faced by our communities, and engage in robust debate to determine appropriate solutions to the many challenges we face. The format of this year's conference is a little different to previous years because it's divided into a variety of topic streams. Motions will be dealt with during the corresponding stream, facilitating a more comprehensive discussion and allowing us to concentrate on a particular issue. This year's topic streams include Financing the future; Optimising the quality of natural and built environments; and Building wellbeing and resilience. As always, we'll have a range of interesting and informative speakers, as well as a social program that allows you to network and share ideas with other councils. I encourage you all to attend the Conference and look forward to seeing you in Albury. |
