Cowra is the perfect break for partners and families of delegates attending the conference. Cowra is home to the renowned Cowra Japanese Garden with special features including a restaurant, open air Tea House, Bonsai House, Cultural Centre and Gift Shop. Wander the relaxing garden and the children can feed the fish.

Cowra offers excellent boutique shopping, fine dining and cellar doors to sample what the region has to offer. Visitors can enjoy the fine wine and delicious food right in the heart of where it is produced. The region is home to over 40 vineyards from small boutiques to big industry players. There are many cellar doors open with over 20 wine labels to sample.

The Cowra Visitors Centre displays nine minute holograms which tell the story of the Cowra POW Breakout and its aftermath. This inspirational story combined with amazing technology will impress all. Other attractions include the Prisoner of War Campsite and Replica Guard Tower, Australia's World Peace Bell, Wyangala Waters State Park, Lachlan Valley Vintage Trains, Cowra FUN Museum, Cowra Regional Art Gallery and the Darby's Falls Observatory.

Nearby regions such as Canowindra also have much to offer, including The Age of Fishes Museum, Hot Air Ballooning and more fantastic boutique shopping and wine tasting.

Visit POW Hologram and Visitors Centre, Cowra Rose Garden and Bridge Murals.
Drive through the Cowra industry area; visit Spring Ridge Cellar Door, Europa Park and Cowra's Scenic lookout.

Lunch at the Lachlan Valley Bistro including a glass of Cowra wine
Visit the Garrison Gates, Prisoner of War Campsite and the Cowra Japanese War Cemetery.
Drive through the new Cowra housing estates and finish with wine tasting at The Mill Cellar Door.
